
VUSD Shannon Ranch Elementary School
Shannon Ranch Elementary, North Ranch Street, Visalia, CA, USA
CMCS was hired to manage the construction of a new elementary school which was needed to ease overcrowding existing elementary schools within the District's northwest quadrant and allow for future growth. This project consisted of a full campus with playfields, basketball courts, amphitheater, parking lots and bus drop off designated areas.
The building descriptions are as follows:
An administration building has full offices for all site administration, nurse, conference rooms and teacher work areas. A library with designated circulation desk, storage and computer stations for student use. Data room which served as the hub for all data and communication to the whole site.
A Multi-purpose building with a food warming kitchen, multi-purpose room with a fully accessible stage, music classroom and storage/janitorial rooms.
Two classroom wings with a total of 26 classrooms which include two pull-out rooms for student assessment and special projects, as well as one special needs classroom.
A kindergarten building with 4 classrooms, internal restrooms, teacher work rooms and storage.
CMCS provided full construction management services which included all pre-construction, construction and post-construction activities. CMCS took lead in coordinating with the local utility companies to provide the school site with gas, power, data-comm. and water.
